Introducing the third release in our Ian Hunter series: a 33-year-old non-chill altered whisky with creamy liquorice notes, fully matured in ex-Bourbon barrels so that Laphroaigs characteristic peatiness shines through.

The third release of the Ian Hunter Series is to celebrate the legacy of the last of the Johnston family to own and manage the Laphroaig distillery, and his fight to protect the Kilbride Stream. This is a story of uncompromising guardianship and a battle between neighbours, over every distillerys essential lifeblood, its source of water.

TASTING NOTES

• COLOUR- Deep copper

• NOSE- Pears, peaches then apricots and lots of condensed sweetness open this delicious and vintage Laphroaig up. Followed by notes of honey and rose petal, a dash of nutmeg, and finishing with ashy-dry peat

• FINISH -A very long nish with lingering, alternating ashy vanilla and peaty aromas.

• TASTE- A sweet, syrupy, fruity mouthfeel to start, it climbs and coats the whole of your palate. It dips to a huge second wave of aniseed, followed by creamy liquorice notes.
