Breckenridge Distillings Port Cask Finish Whiskey is a five year old bourbon that was moved to tawny port barrels, each ranging up to twenty years old. Breckenridge allowed the bourbon to undergo a secondary maturation in the port cask for between 4-6 months.

This particular small batch, specialty craft bourbon starts with a very high rye content, providing a bold, spicy note. By inducing the second maturation in the port cask, that tangy rye flavor is softened and some vinous, dark fruit notes develop in place of its bite, providing a much smoother, mellower finish.
