This is one of those $20 Italian wines that absolutely sings and completely overdelivers in terms of value. Its a seamless Umbrian blend that marries together three of the regions best red grapes, Sangiovese, Sagrantino and Merlot. Its a fragrant, bright yet full-bodied expression with notes of violets, wild flowers and strawberry jam. On the mouth its dry and silky smooth with a little baking spice and a finish that goes on and on.
