This prized Lagavulin is from the last two 1993 casks, filled during the start of the distillery’s golden era under Manager Grant Carmichael. A mellow nose with redcurrant fruitiness and maritime scents leads to a smooth, lightly oily texture and a long, peppery smoky finish. Bottled in 2021 from 1 Pedro Ximenez/Oloroso seasoned butt and 1 refill American Oak Hogsheads, with only 642 bottles produced.
